Bibliotheca

Sick of getting lost in sprawling switch-hunt maps?

Claustrophobia 1024 is coming!

As the sequel to Congestion 1024, this megawad plans 32 new levels for Doom II with all the fast, fun, tight gameplay of Claustrophobia's predecessor.

The screenshot above is from my contribution, a Hellish library map named "Bibliotheca." Work on this particular map is nearly complete. Check back for updates!

Map 1: "The Devil's Animals"

Check out these new screen captures of Thy Flesh Exhumed's introductory map:

"The Devil's Animals"

Loosely inspired by the original E4M1, "Hell Beneath," this map sets the tone for Thy Flesh Exhumed by alluding to the original Episode Four while creating its own unique ambiance. The goal was to establish and maintain a dark, Halloween-tinged atmosphere.

Sacrificial altars, the tormented damned, and pumpkin-headed cacos abound in this succinct entryway to the New Episode Four.

Map 1: "The Devil's Animals" is currently in the playtesting stage. All architecture is complete.

Check back soon to preview more of Thy Flesh Exhumed, including maps inspired by the creaking wooden walkways of "Sever the Wicked" and the blood-rinsed marble labyrinths of "They Will Repent!"

Welcome

Thy Flesh Exhumed

Blood, demonic and human alike, has dried in the floorboards and the courtyards of "Thy Flesh Consumed." Brittle leaves blow across the marble labyrinths of Hell.

This is October. If Earth were still populated by non-zombified humans, that would mean something. Ah, if only it were Halloween: the black candles would be supermarket grabs instead of unholy relics. The only monsters would be costumed human beings. Jack-o'-Lanterns would stand in place of floating cacodemons. There'd be candy instead of shotgun shells. The laughter of living children. Lit windows with curtains instead of rusted bars.

The only way left to express your humanity is to grab a shotgun and take a stroll through the corrupted countryside, kicking down doors, letting the new neighbors know what you think of how they've treated your species. There's no hope left for mankind, but there's still plenty of ammunition. Might as well take a stroll...

Thy Flesh Exhumed is a new single-player episode for the Skulltag source port, featuring level design and aesthetics influenced by Episode Four of "The Ultimate Doom." Explore autumnal marble temples and haunting wood-and-iron environments infested with Hell's ugliest hosts.

Carefully utilizes features of Doom II and Skulltag to create a unique, atmospherically consistent "New Episode Four" feel.

Construction is underway!
